Dr. Barrett is Thrive Professor of Developmental Science and program director for the PhD in Psychological Science (non-clinical) at Fuller Theological Seminary. He was the founding director of the Thrive Center for Human Development, serving in that role from 2011 to 2015. He earned his PhD in Cognitive and Developmental Psychology at Cornell University, and a BA in Psychology from Calvin College. Prior to coming to Fuller, Barrett taught for five years in Oxford University’s School of Anthropology, and is best known for his research on religion.
