On June 12, 2016, Dr. Pamela Ebstyne King delivered the opening plenary address at the fifth Children’s Spirituality Conference. She spoke on the topic “Kids & God: Nurturing Your Child’s Spirituality and Ability to Thrive.” Participants received her message warmly, and lively discussion over the course of the evening and the next two days reinforced Dr. King’s sense that this is an excellent group that she hopes the Thrive Center can work with in the future.

The conference was held by the Society for Children’s Spirituality: Christian Perspectives on June 12–14, 2016, at Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tennessee. Approximately 150 academics and thoughtful practitioners gathered around the children’s spirituality table and discussed child theology, best practices, sociological research, and ministry implications for nurturing children’s spiritual growth and development.
