Thrive Awarded Grant from the John Templeton Foundation for With & For Podcast

Fuller Theological Seminary is pleased to share that its Thrive Center for Human Development has been awarded a one-year grant of more than a quarter of a million dollars for the center’s With & For podcast series.

The grant of $258,699 is from the John Templeton Foundation. The Thrive Center was among a select group of 125 invited by the Foundation to present a full grant proposal. Initially, 3,109 grant applications from 120 countries were submitted to the Foundation seeking more than $2.3 billion in funding.

The Thrive Center funding will be used to produce a 14-episode season of the With & For podcast, which is hosted by Thrive Executive Director Pam King. Thrive will produce content on the science of spirituality and thriving; expand and deepen the reach and impact of the podcast through public relations, marketing, and community engagement; and connect with thought, practitioner, and spiritually engaged leaders to understand more deeply how their communities thrive and grow spiritual health.

This grant comes at a time when cultivating and embracing healthy forms of spirituality are essential, as they play a crucial role in personal thriving and the flourishing of our communities.

“In an era when there is so much external chaos and divisions added to the internal stress and distress of so many, the With & For podcast is a resource that can help many to find inspiration and insights for ‘walking the balance,’” said Fuller President David Emmanuel Goatley. “We rejoice in the generous support of the John Templeton Foundation and their confidence in the work of Dr. Pam King and the Thrive Center at Fuller Seminary.”
