We are thrilled to announce that we have received the “Spiritual Health, Thriving, and Chaplaincy” project grant from Interfaith America. This grant will support an innovative collaboration between Fuller’s MA Chaplaincy (MAC) Program, the Office of Chaplains, and the Thrive Center to equip spiritually-engaged leaders—such as chaplains, clergy, and therapists—with the knowledge and tools to integrate psychological resources within religion and spirituality for promoting mental health and well-being. The project will develop three graduate-level courses, foster campus-community partnerships, and produce a video exploring multi-faith perspectives on spiritual health. Building on Fuller’s rich history of integrating psychology, theology, and intercultural studies, the initiative will introduce a new THRIVE framework for spiritual health, designed to support individuals in religiously diverse settings. Led by Pamela Ebstyne King, Jaclyn Williams, and Mary Glenn, this project will deepen the understanding of spiritual care and contribute to interdisciplinary scholarship in the field of mental health and spiritual health.
